Never hold on to rejection as pity. It’s so easy to be comfortable in pity for the attention of someone to affirm us. A form of comfort that alleviates the attack of the bad conscience. Our conscience can easily condemn us to feel inferior and insecure, alone and indifferent from everyone else. The “why me”, “it’s me”, “I’m the problem”… Most often that can continue into a place of low self-esteem; a strategic block to hinder you from moving forward in purpose. Would you believe me if I told you that’s a device from the devil? The devil comes to kill, steal and destroy. What do you think that means?
We ought to persevere by being confident in who we are in Christ as well as being confident in Christ (trust). Move forward boldly and not look back. No regrets or the if only I… The Bible urges us to come boldly before the Holy of Holies. By the death of Christ, the veil is torn, giving us unlimited access to the Most Holy Place. We can rest in God because the redemptive work is done according to Hebrews 4. Just believe.
Proverbs 16:1 – We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer.
God knows how to lead us into the direction we must go. Christ said we should follow Him. Distractions must come to test our hearts and motive. It is us who decide to either yield to the distraction or follow Christ. The moment you decide to follow man’s standard or expectation or opinion, you are following man’s will. Without God it is pure emptiness, never satisfied, ever seeking identity, ever seeking purpose. We only find our identity in Christ; the potter who forms the clay (Isaiah 45: 9). Funny how we were made from the dust of the ground and He is the true vine. That’s another blog post. This is the good news to know that your end doesn’t stop at rejection. We have life and have it more abundantly (John 10: 10). Thank God we are saved by grace.
Romans 12:2- Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Why warn us from conforming to the world? Galatians 5:17 The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is the opposite of what the Spirit wants… God wants us to be free in his Spirit to do what is right and true. Sin keeps us in bondage and confusion. And you wonder why you struggle with your walk in the Lord. We are human and it is expected of us to not rely on ourselves but to walk in complete trust in God. The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God (1 Corinthians 1:20). God’s foolishness is higher than the wisdom of man (1 Corinthians 1:25).
In conclusion, rejection should not change who you are. It can never identify you no matter the name tags. You are not defined by any circumstance. You are above rejection. Check out the activation link
